'On 21 May 2011 students from Year 10, 11 and 12 music classes went on an excursion to the Australian Institute of Music in Surry Hills to watch a concert called "The Woodstock Experience". Every performance had it's own edge to it, keeping the students entertained and once each song finished the audience applauded, in anxiety, wondering what song was next.
The concert was to recreate and relive the defining decade in 20th Century popular music and culture and to also highlight the experiences of this era including the Vietnam War, the civil rights movement and political activism. It also provided an amazing musical journey through explorations of works by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone and many more.
By the end of the concert, every student was satisfied to an extent of wanting to watch it again.' Year 11 Student
